More Moon!!
While I didn't see the Super Moon on the horizon I was thrilled by just how bright and clear it was.

Portfolio Contenders
A collage of all the photos that I'm considering for my new portfolio. I'll have a separate food portfolio so I'm only considering none food photos right now.

Oddity Tattoo's Mural and The Big Nasty Bank
These shrubs and palms you see surrounding this awesome mural is the work of a bank that would much rather suppress and oppress creativity than embracing the community they came to. Oddity Tattoo's mural was there about a year before the bank that now neighbors it came to the location.
Sarasota is a pretty artistic town and, as I understand it, the tattoo shop is a fixture in the town well liked and respected. The bank, it would seem, could care less and instead of just living with this amazing piece of artwork decided to try a bid at censorship.
Good job, bank. You suck.
Here's an article about it from the local paper: http://www.heraldtribune.com/article/20110301/ARTICLE/110309968/2416/NEWS?p=1&tc=pg

Spring Training Game--Orioles vs Rays
Harlock and I got to watch the spring opener for the Orioles in their new training stadium, Ed Smith Stadium. We went cheering for our team, the Rays, and while they lost...well got massacred really with the final score being 12-6 it was a fabulous day.
The first pitch.
Evan Longoria practicing before the start of the game.
Sean Rodriguez at bat. I love this man. He's a great player and pretty versatile
.
Rodriguez is also capable of stealing second!
Which is great since the Rays lost Crawford to the Red Sox.
And Sonnastine. Oh, Sonnastine...he gave up 5 homeruns in the first two innings
and from there the entire game went downhill. He really should
just stick to relief and not starter.
I think for this photo you'll need to look at it in full view to see all the action.
There's a man rounding third gunning for home and a play
at second base.
Pitching change.
And good ole Coach Maddon.
I can't wait to see a game at Tropicana! I want to try and make a game at Ed Smith when they play the Red Sox and hopefully will be able to do that.

The Sad Rays Fan
The final score for the spring training game between the Orioles and the Rays was 12-6, Orioles. Sonnastine gave up five homeruns in the first two innings which set the mood for the rest of the pitching staff on the Rays. No wonder this man looks sad.

March 1--Coach Maddon
New month, new title for these 365 posts!
Harlock and I saw the premiere spring training game at the new Ed Smith Stadium today. It's a terrific stadium and poor pictures of the the stadium and the actual game to come but for now, I present to you Coach Maddon.
I think I desaturated the photo too much so I might reprocess it later on.
