Trial Zombie 3

I've always wanted to do a project centering around zombies. Like many people, I love zombies for all their symbolism, horror, macabre nature, and reflection of humanity; zombies are awesome. (remember I have a PHd in 'Awesome-ology' so I know what I'm talking about)

Today I'm doing some test shots with chocolate syrup and some make up trials. The photo above is from few nights ago when I was playing around with lights and how shadows would appear in black and white. Today is going to be a very, very messy day.

Dinner from Last Night

Well, I've been neglecting shooting Harlock cooking dinner. I've been busy with my 365 project and another project that I should start shooting on but just haven't yet.

Last night, we had chicken tacos with rice. It was delicious. I have no preparation shots since I actually cut the chicken and onions so it's hard to shoot and dice all at the same time.

365 Photo Project Day 21--My Cat Hanzou

I actually took this picture last night and uploaded it to the flickr group I am a part of but neglected to upload it to the blog since we were about to watch The Wall (which is beyond awesome)

This is Hattori Hanzou, feared swordsman and the best samurai this side of Japan. Ok, so he's just a cat but a very cool one. He's extremely sweet and loving and loves to play. He keeps our kitten, Mister Santiago in line. Which is good, Santiago can be a little demon cat.

Hanzou is one of the greatest cats I've ever owned. Sometimes he follows me around the house other times he comes and curls up right next to me. He hates cameras so it's hard to take a decent photo of him but when I do manage it he always looks regal.

The Moon! (again)

I love shooting the moon. I said it before and I will say it again.

Blurry moon! I thought it'ld look neat to take an out of focus picture of the moon. It's kind of cool.

Harlock

This is Harlock.

We've been together for a little over a year now but we've been friends for years and years. There's something special about Harlock, something that makes him stand out from the rest. Together we live in a bungalow in Sarasota near the bay. Sometimes you can smell the water from our street when the wind is just right.

We used to talk about running off to the sea. We'ld find a small island and only come to the mainland for supplies. Once, we went to Key West to see Hemingway's place. It was the best trip I ever took. We have pictures taken right outside of Hemingway's studio and you can see his typewriter in the background. I've always loved Harlock and knew that he loved me too but I was too scared, too shy, too timid.

Our birthdays are back to back, literally back to back; I'm on the 13th and he's on the 14th. A little over a year ago he told me that he loved me. From that point on we were able to be honest with each other, to share things that we were meant to share. We were able to be together.

And I'm the happiest, luckiest girl in the world.
