Glasses!

For day 3 I headed to Goodwill in hopes of finding a little trinket which I found but decided to use this shot as my 365 photo. Posted a day late due to not being around my computer.

Crypt Keepers

Day 2 of my new 365! I headed out to Rosemary Cemetery to snap a photo of this one site with a very tattered and weather beaten Bible. I was not pleased with how that photo came out but luckily I took a photo of the lawn care crew.

What was supposed to be a quick trot down to Planned Parenthood turned out to be a 3 hour photo walk with a stop along Centennial Park where I took some pretty awesome photos of some birds which I will be posting later along with a discovery of a really neat little alley.

'Gail the Snail'

Last night I took the first shot of my new 365. The last 365 kind of faded away into failure but I feel good about starting the project again besides it's a great way to keep shooting.

This is Gail the Snail. Harlock found her last night as we were walking back from the store. There were a couple of snails on the ground which I took for grapes in the fading light of evening. (I need glasses apparently) Well, I snatched her up and carried back to the house. I set the snail up in the mini light box I made with few amenities of outside and set to snapping. I took maybe a hundred or so pictures all of which I like so it was hard to choose one for the first day of the 365.

I was sad to set the snail free after a hard night's work of modeling. She did such a great job but hopefully she's enjoying her new home among the dead leaves of my yard.

Another Go at 365

I'm thinking about trying another 365. Most people wait till the beginning of the year but I see no problem in starting one in the fall. Might even start tomorrow or today! Who knows!

My last 365 kind of dissolved into nothing after missing a day here a few days there. I would like to have a successful 365 project under my belt as some point. I think I'm in a good position now to start one and hopefully keep the momentum going for a year.

Sometimes We Lose It

It's been far too long since I took out my camera. She's getting dusty in the closet I'm sure. I have pictures on there too, ones that I haven't transferred to my computer. I need to find whatever it is that I lost again. Hope? Encouragement? Confidence? .....I don't know. All I know is that sometimes we lose it and that's why Annabel Lee is being neglected.
