The only tomatoes I will eat are the ones from the Farmer's Market.

The Art of Egg Blowing
One of my favorite Easter traditions from childhood was dying empty eggs. This way you could keep a dyed egg without it starting to stink after a few weeks. To do this you need to blow the yolk and goop out of the egg before coloring.
This year I had the fun of showing my friends how to do this so we all could color empty eggs. Poke a small hole in the top of the egg and a slightly larger hole in the bottom using a sewing needle. You have got to be careful when doing this as the egg might crack. Remember it is raw. Scramble up the yolk with the needle and place your mouth over the hole on top and start blowing! Blow! BLOW! BLOOOOOW! and your egg goop should start streaming out.
This demonstrated by my lovely boyfriend.
You are now left with just a shell, hopefully intact. Run water though the shell to flush out the remaining bits and there ya go! Color away!

Easter Lunch
Harlock and I had Linda and Gilbert over for Easter lunch. Which turned into the Day Where We All Ate Way Too Much!!
The first course was ham, rice, bread, and Linda made a yummy potato au gratin made with fresh potatoes she got from the Farmer's Market and a cheese that has morel in it...and something else. It was pretty good.
The second course was pulled pork sandwiches from a roast that Linda prepared followed up by a turtle pie.

We spent the day listening to records and watching TV. We colored eggs and had a general good time. It was a nice day.

Happy Easter
Sitting on the corner during the Farmer's Market, the Father was handing out blessings like candy coated chocolate eggs. I didn't get blessed but I got his picture.
Happy Easter!

Tattoo Session!
Linda, a super awesome and amazingly talented friend, did a tattoo for my sister today. She designed an adorable pinup girl for my sister and it came out amazing!
(That bright light is a shop light they were using for extra light)
Linda enjoys tattooing and her excitement was palpable during the session. She's not a professional though she acts the part. She's demanding of herself and the quality of her work. With any luck she'll be able to find a shop to apprentice in.

April 6--The Things We Do
My 365 has been hit and miss lately. The past week I've been feeling a little down and I think it's because I'm not snapping photos. The thing is I really want to take my work to the next level but just not sure how to do it so I've been getting a little bummed.
Anyways, my shower drain is clogged....see..that's not actual shaved off hair. That would be horrible.

My First Try at Biscotti
Made a simple coffee flavored biscotti today. I fancied them up with some star sprinkles and frosting. Next time I want some almonds to add to the biscotti and maybe dip them in chocolate.
The biscotti loaves before the second baking.
